Dr. Mehran Alagheband is a board certified dermatologist with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and over 50 invited lectureships on skin disorders. He did internship at Yale University Medical Center and completed his dermatology training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After his training he joined New York Medical College as Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology where he assumed an active role training future dermatologists. During this time he was also Associate Director of Dermatology and director of Pediatric Dermatology at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, NY. Subsequently he founded Avalon Dermatology and The Botox & Laser Institute.

Dr. Alagheband provides comprehensive and sophisticated dermatologic care for all age groups. Some common disorders he treats includes acne, alopecia, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, bacterial, fungal and viral skin disorders. He also specializes in skin cancer screening and surgical treatment.
